If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Movement was northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, St. Martin, D'iberville, Latimer, Lyman, Gulf Hills, Gulf Park Estates, Saucier, Vancleave, and Gulfport Airport. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 28 and 57. Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Mississippi Sound... * Until 300 PM CDT. * At 158 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 7 nm north of Cat Island to 13 nm northwest of Chandeleur Sound to near Breton Sound to 10 nm northwest of Pilottown, moving southeast at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots and suddenly higher waves. Boats could sustain damage or capsize.
