Flood Watch issued May 13 at 8:44PM CDT until May 14 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Alabama, including the following areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal and Mobile Inland and northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland. * WHEN...Through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional heavy rain is possible overnight tonight as additional storms are expected to develop and move across mainly coastal portions of Alabama and northwest Florida. Special Weather Statement issued May 13 at 10:47PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL At 1045 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Tanner Williams, or 14 miles north of Grand Bay, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Winds in of 35 to 45 mph are possible with this storm. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Midtown Mobile, Downtown Mobile, Prichard, Tillmans Corner, Saraland, Theodore, Chickasaw, Satsuma, Grand Bay, Creola, Chunchula, Axis, Mount Vernon, Semmes, Tanner Williams, I65 And I165, Mobile Regional Airport, Wilmer, I65 And AL 158, and Movico. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
