Very strong Northwesterly to North winds and very low relative humidity values are forecast. The strongest winds will occur tonight through Monday night. The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 8 AM PDT Tuesday. * AFFECTED AREA...The San Joaquin Valley. * WIND...The strongest winds will occur tonight through Monday night, with sustained northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph, with wind gusts near 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values of 15 to 20 percent with local areas as low as 10 percent through the period. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
