Flood Advisory issued June 12 at 11:44AM EDT until June 12 at 1:45PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following counties, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie. * WHEN...Until 145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1144 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Port Saint Lucie, Walton, Fort Pierce, Stuart, Treasure Island, Indiantown, Okeechobee, Jupiter Island, White City, Palm City, Jensen Beach, J And S Fish Camp, Saint Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, Port Salerno, Fort Pierce Inlet, Indrio, Hobe Sound, Sewall's Point, Tradition and Saint Lucie West. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
