In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...From this evening through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

Verdigris River at Coffeyville affecting Montgomery County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Verdigris River at Coffeyville. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying areas is expected, especially along the left bank near the Water Plant. Further upstream and downstream from the gage site the river spreads out into the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 1.8 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
