Flood Warning issued June 24 at 1:09PM CDT until June 25 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN Small creeks and streams continue to run high. There is a potential of additional heavy rainfall expected this evening. The Flood Warning remains into Tuesday morning. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of south central Minnesota, including the following counties, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele and Waseca. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 107 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing flooding across the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Owatonna, Faribault, Waseca, Waterville, Medford, Morristown, Elysian, Warsaw, Nerstrand, Lemond, Clinton Falls, Merton, Moland, Hope, Kilkenny, Deerfield, Owatonna Airport, Faribault Airport, Sakatah Lake State Park and Ruskin. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
