Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Nicollet and Blue Earth Counties. Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Brown, Nicollet and Blue Earth Counties. Minnesota River at Savage affecting Carver, Scott, Hennepin and Dakota Counties. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Le Sueur, Sibley and Scott Counties. More widespread rain continues to look possible Thursday night into Friday. The forecast rainfall amounts with this system will be captured in the river forecasts that are issued Wednesday night and Thursday morning. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Minnesota River at Mankato. * WHEN...Until further notice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 730 PM CDT Sunday, the stage was 26.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 730 PM CDT Sunday was 26.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.9 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.1 feet on 04/10/1965. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
