Flood Warning issued May 26 at 8:56AM CDT until May 26 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, McDonald and Newton. * WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 856 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Hickory Creek at Coler RD, Big Sugar Creek at Buzzard Glory Road, Butler Creek at Kings Highway, Buffalo Creek at Klondike Road, North Indian Creek at Orchid Drive, Little Sugar Creek at Skaggs Hollow Road and Elkhorn Creek at Highway CC. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Neosho, Pineville, Seneca, Granby, Anderson, Noel, Goodman, South West City, Wheaton, Lanagan, Fairview, Dodge, Newtonia, Stella, Cayuga, Stark City, Powell, Rocky Comfort, Racine, Tiff City and Big Sugar Creek State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
