In southeast Oklahoma, Atoka, Bryan, Coal, Hughes, Johnston and Marshall. In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Love and Murray. * WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall is possible from repeated rounds of thunderstorms. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Warning issued April 28 at 12:51AM CDT until April 28 at 6:45AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central, southeast, and southern Oklahoma, including the following counties, in east central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole. In southeast Oklahoma, Atoka, Coal, Hughes, Johnston and Marshall. In southern Oklahoma, Carter and Murray. * WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1251 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ardmore, Ada, Holdenville, Tishomingo, Coalgate, Wewoka, Wetumka, Dickson, Byng, Allen, Mannsville, Ravia, Stonewall, Wapanucka, Dustin, Lehigh, Tupelo, Mill Creek, Milburn and Francis. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In southeast Oklahoma, Coal and Hughes. * WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1151 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ada, Seminole, Holdenville, Coalgate, Wewoka, Wetumka, Byng, Allen, Stonewall, Bowlegs, Dustin, Lehigh, Tupelo, Francis, Calvin, Cromwell, Fitzhugh, Stuart, Lamar and Sasakwa. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
